From Films to Games

Rio, Made Playable

Besides the travel films, I've started making games. They're inspired by Rio de Janeiro: the mosaic boardwalks, the beach sports, the tiled steps, the rooftops and the motorbike couriers weaving through traffic. I'm learning game development as I go, one game at a time.

The rules are simple: no ads, no accounts and no data collection. Just something fun to play on the bus, on the beach, or against a friend on the same phone.

Rally Carioca

Paddle battles across Rio: the Copacabana mosaic, Ipanema at sunset, the tiled Selarón Steps and a favela rooftop at night. Each world plays differently, with waves, bouncy steps, kites and blackouts. Climb past 21 opponents and 4 bosses, or take on a friend on the same phone.

Motoboy

Next up: hop on a delivery motorbike and race through the streets of Copacabana, built from the real street map. Grab the order, weave through traffic and beat the clock before the açaí melts.
